A LENGTH OF TIME

Time can be measured by second, minute, hour, day, month or year.

Time brings about many different changes. In the Spring time brings about leaves on trees, birds chirping, new
growth of grasses, lighter coats on many animals, a length of time.

Summer brings on heat more outdoor activities, more fun at the beaches, vacationing time, time to enjoy family and
for children more play time. A length of time.

Fall brings about the rustling of fallen leaves off trees, the harvesting of crops, people and animal preparing for the
winter season. Having Cars winterized, looking for clothing to sustain them through the winter. A length of time.

Winter brings about cold, windy, snowy, icy days where there is less traffic, less visitation, less outdoor activity and a
time for people to snuggle up by the fireplace and enjoy the Christmas season. A length of time.

Nine months is the normal time for a child to be born. A nation was born in 1776. Time brought about the Spanish
America War. Time brought about the Civil War. Time brought about laws, change of territory, statehood and
eventually formed the 50 states which we now know as United States of America . Time brought about Hippies,
Human Rights, Civil Rights and a Civil Rights Activist named Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King who had a dream. Time
brought about a struggle for Civil Rights and equality among the races, gun control, etc.

On November 4th, 2008 time brought forth an African American President fulfilling the dream that Rev. Dr. Martin
Luther King had. “I have been to the mountain top and looked over into the promise land, I may not get there with
you, but we as a people will go into the promise land.”

Let us thank God that is time is not our time, that his ways are not our ways. Time with God is from everlasting to
everlasting.

Let us pray for our 44th President that he will bring this nation back to God in a length of time.
