Today's topic is Soon To Be Forgotten.

Many African-Americans, contributors in areas of poetry, playwrights, acting, philosophy, dance, artists, etc, have
left a legacy that should have remained for many generations, but they are soon to be forgotten.

Thurgood Marshall, a pioneer in law, first African-American to sit on the highest court of the United States of
America, the Supreme Court. He battled segregation, and set forth a landmark decision, Brown v. The Board of
Education. These great feats are soon to be forgotten.

Hannibal, Cartledge General, conquered Italy by using elephants and traveling through mountains where there were
no trails. Great general, defeated many nations, but he is soon to be forgotten.

John F. Kennedy, in my opinion, one of the greatest presidents to ever hold office, signed into law many of the Civil
Rights we have today. He is soon to be forgotten.

I guess you say "What a morbid preacher, always reflecting on the past." Ladies and Gentlemen, where there's no
past, there can be no history. Where there is no knowledge of history, there can be no hope for the future. Young
men have forgotten what it is to have the responsibility of manhood. Young ladies have forgotten what it means to
be a lady.

Have you ever read the book "The Trail of Tears"? A whole nation, removed from their ancestral land, to go to a
land, knowing not their future, knowing not how they were going to survive. Can you imagine losing your brother,
sister, mother, friends, and other relatives on the way to an unknown place? This, too, is soon to be forgotten.

So it was with the African nation. Prisoners in their own land, robbed of their country's resources (silver, gold,
diamonds, etc.) .Their women, raped, forced to be indentured servants, placed into ships to be bought and sold in a
foreign land. Stripped of tradition, culture, language, and family ties. Forced to build a country that thrives on
racism, that country is America. This, too is soon to be forgotten.

Jesus Christ died on the Cross for us. He took our sins upon Himself and became ransom for many. Yet, churches
are forgetting to praise His name, Christians are forgetting how to love one another. Preachers are refusing to
preach the unadulterated word of God. They have lost themselves in the theology and lust of the flesh, this, too is
soon to be forgotten by men.

Sisters and brothers, when you stand before God to give an account for your acts upon this earth, your sins will not
soon be forgotten.

It is my Prayer that this nation return to it's first love, the love of God, the Creator of all mankind, who cannot be
forgotten.
