As I awaited for the arrival of the bus, on a very cold and blusterous day, I began to listen to a conversation between
two young men, approximately 17 and 18 years of age. Their vocabulary was very limited, their sentences were filled
with profanity, the issues that they spoke were of the female sex, and I all I heard was the F-word and the B-word. I
began to reflect on my childhood, and what my grandmother stated to me when I was 6 years old, and that statement
is this, "Ignorance will always be prevalent."

You may think that I am writing about some wild animal that has not been tamed, or has been caged for public view,
or some fictitious creature that I may have seen on the Sci-Fi channel. But the beast that I speak of today, is called
ignorance. Ignorance has wiped out many customs, many traditions, and has caused many deaths throughout the
world. I will make one viewpoint on ignorance, Ray Charles, masterful singer and composer, lost his sight to a simple
disease called glaucoma, need I say more.

Mankind has always sought out intelligence, some through Greek philosophers such as Aristotle, Plato, Socrates,
Sigmund Friod, and others, yet, ignorance somehow seems to avoid intelligence. Men have create many institutions
of high learning: Yale, Princeton, Harvard, Hofstra, South Carolina State, Morgan State, Oklahoma University, and
many more, to combat this beast called "Ignorance".

You find that students now are killing, raping, sodomizing, right on the campus where higher learning is making an
attempt to stamp out ignorance. On the high school level, ignorance has entered into our English language (Whole
English). When I was in school, we were taught what a noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, preposition, and conjunction
are. We were taught how to dissect a sentence, which is unheard of today, and whoever heard of Ebonics?

Organization were established to fight ignorance, one such organization is the NAACP, yet, racism, discrimination,
lack of respect, lack of tolerance, lack of love, still prevails. And all these fore mentioned things can be contributed to
ignorance.

As a servant of God, I have noticed that ignorance has made its way into the Pulpit of God's Houses. Ignorance to the
word, ignorance to the Commandments, ignorance to commitment or lack thereof. Segregation within God's House,
such as women aren't supposed to preach the Word of God. The Word of God says "There is neither male nor
female, Jew nor Greek, but all are one in Christ Jesus." Deacons have become ignorant concerning the Word of God.
They have taken the statement "Look out among you, find seven good men, filled with the Holy Ghost, let them do
this work, why should pastors of God leave the Word of God to wait tables?" Now the deacon boards are throwing
God's pastors in the street, all of it is due to the beast "Ignorance."

Sisters and Brothers, I appeal to you, until we let that mind be in us that was also in Christ Jesus, the beast will
continue to influence legislature, policies, governments, and even the Word of God, though God's Word will prevail.

Think about it. Look around you, listen, look at the dress codes, not only of the children, but of adults, men and
women, look at the hair styles, and you will see we need Jesus to combat the beast "Ignorance."
