My subject is why now? Why now is there an attempt to send a specialized unit into Afghanistan looking for Bin
Laden? Our troop level is lower than it has ever been in the history of the United States of America. Our economy
is faltering. Why now? Our youth resent the authority of the U.S Government and do not want to be involved with
any act of aggression. Why now? Our churches are being told what to say and what not to say, as if the freedom of
speech no longer exists. Why now?
Our President seems to want to commit young men and women to a battle which he started. Why now? Oil prices
are soaring, food prices are astronomical, morale in this country is at an all-time low. Why now? Why should we
support a vendetta former President Bush (father) started? He sought to overthrow the Iraqi Government, but his
time in office did not permit him to do so.Why now?
Votes in Florida, mainly black districts, were omitted, not counted, that our present President could seize the
presidency to carry out his father's wishes. Why now?
I, being a veteran and strong supporter of the U.S Government, disagree and would like to remind this country of
two important people: Issac (Judaism) and Ishmael (Muslim). Our government has stuck their nose into something
they cannot control, the battle between the descendants of two brothers. Why now?
